Stolie was surrendered to the MSPCA in Springfield, MA, very neglected with extremely long nails, flea covered fur, and only 57 pounds at the time of his surrender. He was reportedly bought from a pet shop at one point. Despite all that, Stolie is an exceptionally sweet boy and not afraid of people. MSPCA did a wonderful job -they had contacted breed rescue, given Stolie his shots, given him a bath, and had him in our hands in less than 24 hours).

Stolie was fostered by Maureen Bardwell who was just beginning to melt for him when a new home was found with Marilyn Bean of NY, who was once heavily involved with Greyhounds.
