"Smirnoff"

Smirnoff

Smirnoff

**ADOPTED**

He is currently in the Denver, CO area with a foster home. Smirnoff is a recently neutered, 7 year old male. He will need a home with no young children, cats or small dogs. Another Borzoi, female would be best, would be fine. He was turned into a local shelter by his former owners. Story they gave the shelter is he snapped at a child so we are not taking any chances. Until the family recently moved to CO from VA he had been a outside, Farm dog.

If you have a soft spot in your home and heart for an "Older Gentleman" who we really think is a good boy looking for a place to retire, please fill out our adoption application and email it to me or you may call Carol Backers at 1-888-264-8898 toll free.

This boy really does have a lot of life and love left to share with that special someone who loves and understands Borzoi.

"Snoopy"

**ADOPTED**
Snoopy

Snoopy is a young boy, maybe a year or two old. He looks REALLY worried!! He was surrendered to the Tyler, TX animal control. People said they had too many dogs. The officer was so taken with Snoopy that she moved him to a shelter for safety and contacted us. Barb Simpson is going to pick him up tomorrow and foster him for us. We are told he gets along with other dogs just fine and loves people. Currently he is still intact. He has was not chipped but will be by the shelter before he leaves with one of those new kind of chips which I know nothing about but I am sure we will soon know all about. If you are interested in adopting Snoopy or know someone who may be interested in adopting him, please contact Carol Backers 1-888-264-8898, cbackers@torchlake.com

the Texas 22
The "Texas 22" rescue

**ADOPTED**
Wesley - 2006
"Tristan"
named by Victoria McCullough
aka "Wesley"

"Shy with strangers and can be 'barky'. He retreats and barks with folks he does not know. Feed him a cookie and he thinks real hard about being your friend. Male dog aggressive but seems fine with big girls - no small critters. He will still be bossy with girls. Loves you when he knows you. He needs a home with experience to deal with his pushy nature."

UPDATE: Wesley is a most handsome boy! Just ask him and he will tell you - and he smiles! Wesley is also a BIG boy and we think maybe 4 years old, could be younger but not by much. He has a lot of energy but will do just about anything for a COOKIE. Wesley needs a home with no small dogs, cats or young children. He would be fine with another female Borzoi who is not alpha - he can be pushy.

AVAILABLE
Solar - 2006
red bitch
"Solar"
named by Victoria McCullough
aka "Tiri"

"Solar is a trip - full of personality and yours better be stronger than hers! OK with males but tough on other girls - no small critters at all - nothing she perceives as weaker than herself. This is one smart, pushy cookie. SHe does know some obedience. She likes it when she has a job. She has to go to a home that will make her mind or she will take over. She is initially shy with strangers (no kids either) but is such a fun dog when she gets to know you."

UPDATE: Tiri is likely 5 years old. She is a tall girl and smart as a whip as well as being lovely. She knows basic obedience and has a real sense of humor. Tiri figures things out very quickly and would likely be a good obedience dog. She will need a home with no cats and maybe only one other dog of the opposite sex, no young children and a home that knows and understands Borzoi.
